We only put it on a few times a year. Skiing or a long road trip where we want the extra space for cargo. Last summer we spent a week in Michigan, so had about 10 days worth of gear with us. Filled the box and back of the car but was able to keep the back window clear. I can put the bars and box on in about 20 minutes. The car doesn't seem to lose any MPG with the box, but that's probably because I drive it too fast the rest of the time, and a little slower when we are on vacation!
